Hamilton Women’s head coach Gary Doctor says his side are in a good place ahead of a crucial SWPL 1 game with second-bottom Hearts this Sunday.
Doctor’s side have enjoyed a rare week off after a 2-2 draw with Spartans in their last match.
Accies may head into the weekend bottom of the league, but recent performances have provided Doctor with encouragement that they can kick into gear against the Jambos.
Hamilton’s boss said: “We were off at the weekend there with SWPL Cup semi-finals but we are back this weekend against Hearts. It’s back to the start of the fixture list now.
“The fixtures are a bit broken up at the minute because of cup ties and international fixtures.
“Hearts will be a big game and one we are looking forward to. We will be targeting getting some points on the board, as will Hearts. But I think we are feeling quite good at the moment.
“The players are taking things on. We had a couple of below-par performances a few weeks ago and certainly the last three games we have been more consistent.
“Hopefully that will put us in a better position for the next phase of games.”
