Hearts team v Inverness predicted as Robbie Neilson tries to find winning formula

February has been a sticky month for Hearts who will be looking to return to winning ways in the Championship tonight.

They laboured to a 1-0 win at Ayr United before drawing twice in succession away to Queen of the South than against Morton at Tynecastle last Saturday.

It’s back to Friday night football this evening when they take on Inverness in the Highlands.

Aaron McEneff was one of the few bright sparks from last week so will likely keep his starting place in the middle of midfield.

The slot next to him could be up for grabs, with Andy Irving relegated to the bench last week in favour of Andy Halliday.

Aidy White has recovered from a knock although will likely take his place among the substitutes.

Jamie Walker came on to great effect, notching his 50th goal for Hearts against The Ton and has surely done enough to be in from the start tonight.

Armand Gnanduillet missed the draw in Dumfries but came on last week to set up Walker’s header, so could we see him partnered up top with Liam Boyce again.

Out wide has been an area of concern in recent weeks, with Gervane Kastaneer withdrawn early last weekend and Gary Mackay-Steven has been disappointing since a promising debut away at Alloa.

Walker can operate on the flank but Elliott Frear hasn’t been trusted much so it's likely one of the two at least will keep their place.

Predicted Hearts team: Gordon, Smith, Halkett, Popescu, Kingsley, Irving, McEneff, Walker, Naismith, Mackay-Steven, Boyce.
