Hearts team v Dunfermline predicted as Robbie Neilson's leaders return from international duty

There will be a more familiar look to the Hearts team this Saturday.

Robbie Neilson is looking forward to getting his leaders back against Dunfermline after the Championship champions-elect faltered badly in their absence.

Craig Gordon returns between the sticks after winning his 56th Scotland cap in midweek, while Michael Smith bolsters the numbers in front of him after a week away with Northern Ireland.

There’s a new face too, as Shay Logan prepares to make his debut after signing on loan from Aberdeen.

Logan is likely to slot in at right back with Smith partnering Craig Halkett in the centre of defence.

Stephen Kinglsey’s fitness isn't guaranteed so Aidy White may be needed at left back again.

Captain Steven Naismith is set to return to the squad after missing the last five matches with a calf injury.

Gary Mackay-Steven’s recent form could prompt a return to the bench given Naismith is available, although Walker could also come in given Naismith’s relative lack of match fitness.

Up front, Liam Boyce and Armand Gnanduillet have been two of the better performers and will likely be paired together again against a Pars defence that shipped five in midweek.

Predicted Hearts lineup: Gordon, S Logan, Smith, Halkett, White, Irving, Halliday, McEneff, Naismith, Boyce, Gnanduillet.
