Hearts team v Celtic revealed as Beni Baningime is handed debut by Robbie Neilson

The first Hearts team to play a top flight game in well over a year has been named.

The Jambos host Celtic in their Scottish Premiership opener at Tynecastle tonight and while Rangers' victory over Livingston earlier today puts the onus on the visitors. the hosts could do with a strong start themselves.

New man Beni Baningime is in from the start after just a couple of days training with his new teammates. He's partnered by Andy Halliday in the middle of the park.

Youngster Finlay Pollock was pushing hard for a start but has to make do with a place on the bench, where he's joined by fellow midfielders Peter haring and Aaron McEneff.

Baningime is the only real surprise as Neilson sticks with the 3-4-3 system he's been bedding in during pre-season.

Hearts: Gordon, Souttar, Halkett, Kingsley, M Smith, Baningime, Halliday, Cochrane, Ginnelly, Mackay-Steven, Boyce.

Subs: Stewart, Haring, McEneff, Gnanduillet, Henderson, C Smith, Pollock.
