Hearts team to play East Fife and how you think Robbie Neilson should line up for Betfred Cup clash

Hearts head to East Fife for their final Betfred Cup Group A fixture and there will have to be some changes to their team

After beating Inverness 2-1 in the Championship at Tynecastle on Saturday, Robbie Neilson is without his internationals as they join up with their respective squads.

Craig Gordon is away with Scotland for their vital play-off final against Serbia, so Ross Stewart will likely be between the sticks at new Bayview.

Michael Smith and Liam Boyce have their own play-off with Northern Ireland against Slovakia, so right back and up front are up for grabs.

Jamie Brandon is the obvious choice to step in for Smith on the right hand side of defence, while Craig Wighton could lead the line again.

However, with Jamie Walker, Josh Ginnelly and Jordan Roberts still out, he might be needed out wide, although Steven Naismith can play in the number ten role or up on his own, so Neilson has a call to make there,

Christophe Berra was back on the bench at the weekend and is in line to make his first appearance in maroon for nine months.

That gives Neilson the option of resting either Craig Halkett or Mihai Popescu, who have been virtual ever-presents in the centre back positions.

Fans can still expect a strong team however, with Neilson ruling out wholesale changes as he looks to get the job done in Fife.
