Hearts team news v Aberdeen revealed as Andy Halliday makes injury recovery

Hearts boss Robbie Neilson has named his team to face Aberdeen.

The clash at Tynecastle will see the Dons wear their away strip from last season after Hearts refused to wear their change kit at home.

Both of Aberdeen's kits clash with the maroon of Hearts and the Dons could have been forced to wear the Jambos away top if they couldn't find a third kit.

But it's a strong team from Hearts as they look to bounce back from last weekend's 3-2 defeat to Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup.

That was a match that could have got messy in the first half but an improved second half showing saw Hearts get two goals back before crashing out.

Craig Gordon will feel he could have done better with Kyogo Furuhashi's winning goal last week and he has a chance to redeem himself today.

Neilson continues with a back three with John Souttar joined by Craig Halkett and Peter Haring, with Michael Smith and Alex Cochrane as wing backs.

Beni Baningime is joined by Andy Halliday in midfield while it's a front three of Josh Ginnelly, Liam Boyce and Gary Mackay-Steven.

FULL TEAM: Gordon, Souttar, Haring, Halkett, Smith, Cochrane, Baningime, Halliday, Ginnelly, Mackay-Steven, Boyce

Subs: Stewart, Walker, McEneff, Smith, Denholm, Henderson
