Hamilton Accies have signed defender Mihai Popescu on a season-long loan from Hearts.
The 28-year-old Romanian goes straight into the squad, but is ineligible to play tonight's SPFL Trust Trophy second round clash against Hearts B because he played in the last round.
Popescu played 24 times for Hearts last season as they won the Championship title, and has also spent time on loan at St Mirren in 2019, returned to Dinamo Bucuresti, and signed permanently with the Tynecastle club in September 2020.
Head coach Stuart Taylor told the club's website: "Mihai is another example of the pedigree of player we want to sign at this football club.

"He has valuable experience in a Championship-winning side, and will provide great insight to the younger players in our dressing room."
Popescu told the club's media: "I am delighted to be at an ambitious club like Hamilton.
"I know the club from my time in Scotland, and was really impressed when I spoke to the head coach.
"I am looking forward to playing first-team football again."
