Hearts squad revealed as injury problems mount up ahead of Aberdeen clash

Hearts have lost left-back Ben Garuccio to a long-term knee injury ahead of Saturday's Ladbrokes Premiership encounter with Aberdeen .

The Australian will miss 10 months of football after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament during Wednesday's training session this week.

With on-loan Manchester United defender Demetri Mitchell already sidelined for the rest of the campaign with a knee injury, it leaves Hearts manager Craig Levein light on options to fill in at left-back.

Levein said: “I was hoping it wasn’t going to be serious. There was nobody near him. He just twisted.

“Having experienced it myself, you just need to be in the wrong position and shift your weight.

"I feel really sorry for the boy. He had just got himself back in the team and was in a good place.

Arnaud Djoum a 'target' for Toulouse as Hearts star nears end of contract

"When I found out, I was feeling a wee bit gutted for him to be honest.

“There’s Bobby Burns, Jake Mulraney, and Jamie Brandon is also a possibility.

"I haven’t made my mind up. Marcus Godinho is just back in training and I’m hopeful he will be available."

Fellow full-back Michael Smith (thigh) remain on the sidelines.

Centre-back Clevid Dikamona (knee) is a doubt while Steven Naismith remains out after knee surgery.
