Making yourself look old using FaceApp is the latest social media fad to hold people’s attention for a brief period, and we’re not above jumping on the bandwagon here at Edinburgh Live.
Craig Levein’s squad ranges from not being old enough to buy a pint in Aaron Hickey and Connor Smith, to those who are feasibly old enough to be their dads in Steven MacLean and Christophe Berra .
But time, or in this case digitally simulated time, waits for no man.
We applied the aging process to the entire Tynecastle squad, and the results are mostly not pretty.
Some come out of it okay: Jamie Walker will apparently grow old relatively gracefully, while Michael Smith, already entering the early stages of sliver fox-dom in real life, wears it pretty well.
Others, not so much. Aidy White hasn’t been seen in action by Hearts fans yet as his fitness is built up after two years out. They’ll hope be plays better than he looks after a few decades have been added to his appearance.
Craig Levein didn’t escape either, although to be fair, he doesn’t look radically different aside from some Santa-esque white hair and beard.
