Hearts smash day one season ticket milestone ahead of Premiership return

Hearts have blitzed a major season ticket milestone after just one day of renewals.

The Jambos opened renewals on Tuesday for fans wishing to sign up for another year despite being locked out of Tynecastle for the entirety of last season.

The window for full price renewals is open until June 10 while supporters can also pay a £25 retainer to secure their seat and pay pro-rata when they will be able to return to the Gorgie ground.

And on day one of sales, Hearts shifted 1,000 briefs from eager punters.

It's set to be a massive season for fans - and not just on the park with the club's Premiership return.

The club's ownership is set to change hands fully as Ann Budge takes a step back and transfers her share to the Foundation of Hearts, a process which was originally set to happen in 2019.

The new main stand shelved the plans for a year and challenges presented by Covid spelled another 12-month delay.
