Hearts set to host 'virtual AGM' from Tynecastle as details of meeting made public

Details of Hearts' virtual AGM have been revealed with the Tynecastle club set to present their annual financial results next month.

Shareholders at the Gorgie outfit will be able to put questions to owner Ann Budge and the board via an online meeting held on December 17, with plenty on the agenda following the Jambos' controversial relegation to the second tier after the coronavirus-hit end to last season.

The meeting will also see Andrew McKinlay formally appointed as a director after he took over as chief executive in August.

The Gorgie outfit have made a flawless start to life in the Championship, winning all three games in the league so far while also booking their place in December's rearranged Scottish Cup final after eliminating Capital rivals Hibs at Hampden in the last four earlier this month.

The group stages of the Betfred Cup have also been navigated without defeat, though the circumstances surrounding their departure from the top flight and the legal measures taken by the club in an attempt to prevent that are likely to be hot topics for shareholders.

Hearts are set to publish their accounts for the year ending June 30 on November 30, the club added.

Shareholders are asked to email agm2020@homplc.co.uk before 6.00pm on Tuesday December, 15 to secure their place in the virtual meeting.

The meeting starts at 11am on Thursday, December 17.
