Hearts set for Scottish Cup clash with Camelon or Brora Rangers as Lothian sides discover fate

Hearts will kick off their bid for a third straight Scottish Cup final with a trip to either Camelon or Brora Rangers.

The Tynecastle side agonisingly lost out on penalties to Celtic at Hampden in the rescheduled final of last year's competition just eight days ago.

But there is little time for Robbie Neilson's men to dwell on that result after the second round draw paired the Jambos with representatives from either the East of Scotland or Highland Leagues.

The first round tie between the two sides was abandoned after torrential rain caused by Storm Bella made the conditions unplayable at half time in their Boxing Day clash.

They are due to play again at Carmuirs Park on Wednesday, December 30, with the winners going on to face Hearts on the weekend of January 9.

Elsewhere, fellow East of Scotland League side Bonnyrigg Rose could set up a tie with Championship Dundee if they beat Bo'ness United in their rescheduled meeting, while Tranent Juniors, making their debut in the competition, face East Fife in Leven.

Linlithgow Rose were drawn away to Forfar Athletic, while Edinburgh City take on League One Airdrieonians at the Penny Cars Stadium.
