Hearts have surpassed the 2000 mark for season ticket renewals.
Fans haven’t been inside Tynecastle for 16 months now since a 1-1 Premiership draw with Motherwell in March 2020.
They’re back at the top table for the 2021/22 season and the Gorgie faithful have moved quickly to ensure they have their seat for when they are allowed back through the turnstiles.
The total has more than doubled in a day after Hearts confirmed that 1000 had renewed on Wednesday after the first day of the renewal period on Tuesday.
The club confirmed plans to have a limited number of supporters back inside the stadium for the opening weeks of the new season, providing current Covid regulations remain the same or are eased.
A ballot will take place to determine which season ticket holders are able to attend, with those successful initially unlikely to be so for subsequent games.
No new hospitality packages will be sold nor will the overspill press area be used to ensure as many fans can get into games as possible.
The transfer of ownership from Ann Budge to the Foundation of Hearts is also scheduled to take place this summer after being delayed a year.
