Hearts renew Partick Thistle alliance as they aim 'medicine' dig at SPFL and SFA

Hearts renewed their alliance with Partick Thistle as they aimed a dig at the SPFL and SFA after the Jags' League One title win.

The Firhill club joined the Jambos in securing promotion at the first time of asking following their relegation last season as Partick ran out comfortable 5-0 winners against Falkirk, sealing their return to the Championship.

Hearts and Partick joined forces last summer as they battled the league chiefs in court as they felt their relegations were unjust as Scottish football was brought to a halt due to the pandemic.

And the Tynecastle club were quick to congratulate Thistle on their triumph but made sure they left a subtle dig in the direction of the governing bodies.

@tartanjambo_x tweeted: "Hahaha! Love it!"

@dshirlaw added: "Well done the Jags."

@juvehearts said: "Brilliant. Delighted for Partick Thistle. Hope Falkirk come up as well and either Kelty or Brora relegate Brechin."

@trago13 added: "Well done Hearts. You have certainly got a few bites. Excellent work. Oh and congratulations to Partick Thistle. Thoroughly deserved."

@Josh_HMFC tweeted: "Love this."
