Hearts put tickets for Hibs clash on general sale after failing to sell out

Hearts have had to put tickets for the final Edinburgh derby of the season on general sale after failing to sell out their allocation for Easter Road.

The game against Hibs on Sunday comes on the back of disappointing form in the league that has led to many fans calling for Craig Levein to leave.

His side were easily beaten by Rangers last weekend with Hearts struggling to make any impact on the match.

Despite being in a Scottish Cup Final, fans have decided to start voting with their feet after growing increasingly disillusioned with the football on show.

The club normally sell their tickets via a loyalty system with the number of points needed for the game dropping over the last week before being put on sale to any Hearts fans on Wednesday.

It means any fan that has bought a ticket with the club before December 31, 2018 can now get a ticket for the derby.

And fans on social media made it clear why there was such a lack of interest in buying them.

@Adzz51 added: "We don't want to go"

@Tonymurray51 said: "Message is clear. Enough is enough but club won't listen.

@Grant_Dalton said: "Get Levein to f***"

But one fan, @MCGlitterDJ hit out at his fellow supporters not going and said: "Anyone not going who normally would because of 'Levein and Budge' is an a***. We're 4 weeks from a cup final. Should be supporting the players. Time and place for protesting if that's your thing. Embarrassing if we don't fill the away end. Worse teams than this had a full support."

Christophe Berra defends Hearts style of play and insists they aren't a long ball team
