- However, Hearts came back strongly after the break and equalised through Stephen Kingsley, before Lawrence Shankland netted the winning goal.
- Hearts are now three points clear of second-placed Celtic with three games to go, and the two title-chasers are due to meet each other on the final day of the season on 16 May.
- Meanwhile, Rangers are now seven points adrift of Hearts, and look set to miss out on the title following their damaging defeat on the road.
