Hearts' potential Championship title coronation could be televised after Alloa clash is rescheduled

Hearts could receive their Scottish Championship coronation live on BBC Scotland after their clash with Alloa Athletic at Tynecastle was brought forward to a Friday night under the lights.

Robbie Neilson’s men will confirm their immediate return to the top flight if they win their next two games, regardless of results elsewhere.

The Gorgie side go to Raith Rovers on Saturday, before hosting The Wasps at Tynecastle.

Should they win in Kirkcaldy, a victory over the Clackmannanshire side in their own backyard will see them promoted to the Premiership at the first time of asking.

That game will now be broadcast live on TV after kick off was changed from 3pm on Saturday, April 10 to 7:45pm on Friday April 9.

Alloa inflicted a bruising Betfred Cup defeat on the Jambos back in November, kicking off a fraught set of encounters between the two sides this campaign.

Wasps boss Peter Grant took Hearts manager Robbie Neilson to task following their shock Cup victory over the Gorgie outfit in November, suggesting the Jambos boss 'take his medicine' after he was enraged by a penalty decision going against his side.

That was followed up by one unidentified member of the Tynecastle party shouting ‘there's yer f*****g medicine’ after Josh Ginnelly rolled in their third at the Indodrill Stadium back in January.

The Jambos were also comfortable winners when the sides met in league action at Tynecastle earlier in the season, with goals from Michael Smith, Andy Halliday and Peter Haring securing three points.
