It wasn't vintage Hearts but they retained an element of control throughout their 2-0 win over Stirling Albion.
Liam Boyce and Finlay Pollock were the goalscorer's as Robbie Neilson's team got the job done at Forthbank.
That's them through to the knock-out stages and can start to focus on hosting Celtic on the opening day of the Premiership season.

Craig Gordon: Very little to do but now ten clean sheets on the bounce for the Scotland 'keeper. 6
John Souttar: Solid in the air and good on the ball. Strolled it. 7
Craig Halkett: Recovered well in the second half after being done by Carrick. 6
Stephen Kingsley: Solid enough on the left of the back three. 6
Michael Smith: Got forward to good effect although should have scored in the first half. 7
Peter Haring: Presence will be important for Hearts this season. Patrolled midfield to good effect. 7
Andy Halliday: Battled away well in midfield and was disciplined. 6
Alex Cochrane: Plugged away and did well to set up Pollock for his goal. 6
Josh Ginnelly: Tried to run at the full back but end product didn't quite happen. 6
Gary Mackay-Steven: Lovely bit of awareness and skill to set up the fist goal. 7
Liam Boyce: Calm finish after good movement and anticipation of GMS' set up. 7
