It was a hard fought victory for Hearts to move 12 points clear at the top of the Championship.
Dunfermline made them work for the three points and may feel they could have claimed them themsevles.
But they had an inspired Craig Gordon to contend with.

Craig Gordon: One unbelievable save, two or three very good ones. As much a match winner as Walker. 9
Michael Smith: Vital goal line block in the first minute and unlucky not to score. 7
Craig Halkett: Similar to Popescu, was solid and concentrated on the basics. 7
Mihai Popescu: Good in the air, defended well on the deck and tried to get Hearts playing when he could. 7
Stephen Kingsley: Not as effective going forward but kept things tight. 6
Andy Halliday: Was moved wide left for some reason but contributed more bak in the middle. 6
Andy Irving: Passing was good and dug in when he had to. 7
Euan Henderson: Showed willing to run at his man but had mixed results. 6
Steven Naismith: Touch was off in the first half, better after the break but not a massive impact. 6
Gary Mackay-Steven: Started wide left then moved in-field but was never really involved in the game. 5
Liam Boyce: Wasn't his day in front of goal but played well and was Hearts' main threat until Walker came on. 7

Armand Gnanduillet: Unlucky not to score and linked well with Boyce with a few clever lay offs. 6
