Neilson hails Burnley workout

It may have ende din a 4-1 defeat, but Robbie Neilson as delighted with his team’s weekend friendly against Burnley.

A number of his squad got their first 90 minutes for several months against the English Premier League side, while the Tynecastle boss was pleased with the contribution of his new wingers and his younger players.

Partick thanks Hearts fans for fine cash

After fighting side by side against relegation all summer, Partick Thistle thanked the fans who contributed money towards paying their SFA fine.

The Jags and Jambos were slapped with £2,500 penalty for taking the SPFL to court without getting prior permission from the SFA.

But both received help from their supporters when it came to actually stumping up the dough.

Gordon’s wonder save

Craig Gordon may not have had his best game against Burnley at the weekend,but he was back to his best in training today.

The 37-year-old showed he’s lost none of his agility to produce an acrobatic stop to deny Euan Henderson.
