Hearts line-up prediction for Greenock Morton Championship clash at Cappielow

A win for Hearts at Greenock Morton this weekend could send them top of the league depending on other results.

Raith and Dunfermline meet at Stark’s, which could pave the way for Robbie Neilson’s team to hit the Championship summit.

They’ll have to take care of business at Cappielow though.

After last weekend’s disappointing extra-time defeat to Alloa at the Indodrill Stadium, fans and manager alike will be looking for better.

The Jambos have been working on taking their chances in training this week, and there’s been no suggestion from Neilson that leading man up top Liam Boyce won't continue to start.

He’s not the only one guilty of not putting opportunities away, with Olly Lee and Jamie Walker also off target last week.

Josh Ginnelly’s return to action remains doubtful although Craig Halkett is available again after sitting out last Saturday due to a back spasm suffered during the warm up.

Whether he returns to the starting line up remains to be seen, and if he does it could be for either one of Christophe Berra or Mihai Popescu.

In midfield, Peter Haring was about the only player to get pass marks against The Wasps, so who partners him is up for debate, with Andy Irving’s exclusion from the starting XI in recent weeks drawing questions from fans.
