Hearts have been drawn against Sturm Graz in the Champions League second-round qualifying draw.

The Tynecastle side headed into today's draw knowing they would be paired with the Austrians or Fenerbahce for their first involvement in this competition since 2006.

The draw was held in Nyon, Switzerland this morning and has handed the Scottish Premiership's runners-up arguably the easier draw.

The first leg is scheduled for July 21/22 and the second leg on July 28/29. Hearts were pulled out second so will play away from home first, with the second at Tynecastle.

UEFA note that the dates and kick-off times for both legs will be announced by Friday, June 26.

Victory would mean Hearts would be guaranteed Europa League league phase football even if they crashed out of the UCL at the third qualifying stage, while defeat would send them into the UEL third qualifying round. They would be unseeded and could face the likes of Benfica, Viktoria Plzen and Red Bull Salzburg.
