Hearts kid Euan Henderson strikes on Alloa debut as Barry Ferguson's Wasps sting Falkirk

Hearts fledgling Euan Henderson made his mark on his Alloa debut after joining the League One side on loan last week.

The 21-year-old winger grabbed the opening goal of the Wasps' 2-0 win over full-time Falkirk at the Indodrill Stadium today.

Henderson, who has nearly 50 first-team appearances in maroon under his belt, some of which have come in the Premiership, tucked a nice right-foot effort away on the half-hour mark to put his side in front to begin what is his second temporary stint away from Tynecastle.

The attacker had an impact for Montrose in the same division a few seasons ago, scoring five goals in 31 games, and will hope his effort against the Bairns is just the start of another successful stint down the leagues.

Henderson's fast start will have certainly caught Gorgie gaffer Robbie Neilson 's eye.

Former Jambos hitman Conor Sammon got the other goal for Barry Ferguson's side just after the hour in a stirring victory for the part-timers.

The Wasps currently sit in sixth spot in the division after five games, having collected seven points.
