Hearts in brutal Hibs putdown as Easter Road side reopen Scottish Cup Final wounds by mistake

Hearts have stuck the boot into Hibs after the Easter Road club reminded fans of their 5-1 Scottish Cup Final defeat to their rivals.

The Hibees tweeted a gif of Auston Powers character 'Mini'Me' holding up six fingers in response to a fan renewing six season tickets as they reopened wounds of their devastating defeat at Hampden in 2012.

The hand gesture was flashed in just about every photo Hearts fans took for months after their historic victory.

Hibs fans urged their club to take down the post down which they obliged to, but it was too little, too late.

Hearts were quick to pounce on their mistake as they quickly took a screenshot of it, posting a picture of it alongside Paulo Sérgio who led the Tynecastle men to that historic victory over Hibs.

They tweeted: "Because sometimes you can't hit that delete button quick enough."

And Jambos fans were delighted to get one over their bitter rivals.

@BradenWarner8 said: "Admin needs a rise man."

@trago13 added: "Well played Admin, very well played."

@marsh_ross tweeted: "Admin scoring the open goals, you love to see it."

@CocoSaysFTH added: "Yassss Hearts admin is back."

@aaronstuart51 said: "Announce a 5 year extension for the admin."

@ThisMyStoryPod tweeted: "Fully onboard."
