Hearts have sold 17,500 William Hill Scottish cup semi-final tickets

Hearts have sold 17,500 William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final tickets ahead of their last four encounter with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The Jambos were handed 25,000 briefs for Saturday's match (kick-off 12.15pm) which will be their first appearance at the national stadium for six years.

Tickets are on general sale after an initial release to season ticket holders saw them shift 13,000.

Craig Levein’s side are expected to reach their first Scottish Cup final since winning the competition in 2012, beating rivals Hibs 5-1 in the final.

The match will be broadcast live on both BBC Scotland and Premier Sports.
