Hearts get Premiership fixture switch-up as Aberdeen clash moved due to Europa Conference League tie

Hearts' clash with Aberdeen next weekend has been pushed back 24 hours after the Dons booked a place in the Europa Conference League playoff round.

Hearts had been due to host Stephen Glass' team on Saturday August 21 in one of the most intriguing games on the Premiership calendar.

Robbie Neilson's team have a 100% record so far and so do Aberdeen, and assuming their winning streaks keep up for another week, something will have to give at Tynecastle.

However Aberdeen's win over Breidablik at Pittodrie means that they will be in action against Qarabag in Azerbaijan on Thursday August 19.

If the game were to be played on the Saturday, it would leave them with less than 48 hours' preparation time.

So the SPFL have postponed the game until Sunday August 22 to give them more time to recover.

The clash will kick off at 3pm.
