Jordan Roberts could be on his way back to Motherwell with the forward reportedly in 'advanced talks' to seal another move out of Hearts.
The 27-year-old joined the Steelmen on loan last season, netting three times in eight appearances during a short stint hampered by injury.
He suffered a season-ending knee injury against St Mirren in April and returned to Hearts to work on his recovery.
But now the Englishman, who is under contract at Tynecastle until next summer, could make a return to Fir Park after being told he is not in manager Robbie Neilson's plans.
The Edinburgh Evening News is reporting that Roberts is in advanced talks with the club and Motherwell are "hoping he can recapture the form he showed during that brief loan spell."
It's believed this time the move could be a permanent transfer.
If they pull it off, it would be Motherwell's second signing of the day after they announced they had completed the signing of Norwegian Sondre Solholm Johansen.
