Hearts fans unanimous in transfer decision as they name 4 players who deserve a fresh start under Robbie Neilson

The arrival of Craig Gordon will be the start of a busy transfer window for Hearts.

Robbie Neilson will be looking to put his own stamp on the Tynecastle side as he looks to steer them back to the Premiership.

The new boss will be looking to add reinforcements, but the big question is which players will be heading in the other direction?

Hearts' struggles last season were well documented and there were only a few players who received pass marks for their efforts throughout the year.

Edinburgh Live looked at the seven players who need to convince Neilson they belong in his plans next season after a difficult campaign with the Jambos.

We also gave fans the chance to decide for themselves and weigh on which players they think deserve a fresh start next term.

Supporters were convinced Harry Cochrane, who spent a season on loan at Dunfermline, should be a part of the club's plans moving forward. 85.2% believe Neilson should keep a hold of the 19-year-old.

Fans would also like to see more of youngster Andy Irving, who impressed during the second half of last season, with 84.6% wanting him to stay put.

Conor Washington had a difficult debut campaign at Tynecastle, but 71% believe he can turn it around next season.

67.1% of fans also believe left-back Ben Garuccio deserves another chance after an injury-hit year.

Uche Ikpeazu has divided opinion, however, as 48.4% think his future remains at Hearts. The same goes for Christophe Berra who fell out of favour under Daniel Stendel, with only 43.5% of supporters holding the view that his experience is needed next season.

Craig Wighton has endured a frustrating time at Hearts since he arrived at Dundee and only 19.1% of fans believe he can turn his Tynecastle career around.
