Hearts fans protest outside Tynecastle and unfurl 'Budge and Levein stole our club' flag

Despite being told to stay away, Hearts fans have gathered to protest outside Tynecastle.

Punters are furious after the Championship leaders suffered an embarrassing Scottish Cup defeat to Brora Rangers and have descended on the stadium to voice their displeasure.

It comes after a warning from the club not to gather in Gorgie due to Covid restrictions still being in place.

A group of around 50 or so fans have congregated at the top of McLeod Street across the road from the ground ahead of the Championship clash against Queen of the South.

And a flag has been hung up on a temporary fence facing the Main Stand that reads " Budge and Levein stole our club".

The former manager and director of football is inside the stadium as a pundit on BBC Sportsound, who are providing live commentary of the game.

The protest comes after stickers demanding the removal of Robbie Neilson and Budge were plastered around the ground and surrounding area this morning.

And last night, a large banner was displayed on the scaffolding of flats next to the stadium that read: "Budge Over, Neilson Out" although that has nice been removed.

A win for Hearts this afternoon would leave them just three points away from sealing the league title and promotion back to the top flight.
