Hearts fans gutted about Conor Washington's transfer to Charlton

Hearts fans are disappointed about Conor Washington's departure from Tynecastle.

The striker has left the club to join Charlton for an undisclosed fee.

It was a stop, start debut season for the Northern Ireland forward, but he started to find his feet towards the end of the season, including a memorable goal against Hibs at Easter Road in March.

And the majority of supporters think his year at Hearts could have been a lot different if it wasn't for injuries and are gutted to see him leave.

@JambosDownUnder said: "Will never be forgotten for running the Hibs defence ragged in last seasons derby, good luck to him."

@226Ando added: "Thats not how you spell Uche Ikpeazu."

@DannyOsborne23 tweeted: "Gutted about that like. Unfortunate injury to what could’ve been some player for Hearts. All the best mate."

@darylhill26 said: "Was coming on to a game as well."

@McIverTheMark added: "I've very rarely seen such a smart football player at the club. Watching him during a game was fascinating but sadly, he operates best on the counter and, in our team, it's heavily possession based. Hope he smashes it at Charlton."

@darin_waugh tweeted: "Genuinely am gutted about this."

@LifeIsFootball6 said: "All the best Conor. Shame to see you go."
