Hearts fans encouraged to join Tynecastle tribute to 'inspirational' Jambo following tragic death

Hearts fans are being encouraged to honour an "inspirational" supporter who died earlier in October.

Craig Bell, from Edinburgh, passed away after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and now his fellow Jambos are keen to pay tribute.

The former football coach was said to have faced the disease with "constant positivity" and had previously appeared on Hearts fan podcast "This Is My Story".

The podcast have now asked fans to join in a 15th minute applause when Robbie Neilson's side take on Dundee in the Premiership on Saturday, with Craig's family to be present at Tynecastle.

A message from the podcast on Twitter said: "On Saturday 2nd October, Craig 'Belly' Bell sadly lost his battle with cancer. Craig's story was one that touched loads of Jambos.

"His constant positivity while facing a horrible disease was truly inspirational and I know loads of us will miss his constant positive and humour filled outlook.

"Craig's family will be in attendance at Tynecastle on Saturday and have asked if we would join in a minute's applause for Craig during the 15th minute of the Dundee game."
