Hearts fans buy nearly 14,000 Scottish Cup final tickets on first day

Hearts have sold 13.500 William Hill Scottish Cup final tickets after they went on sale from 9am this morning.

The Jambos will face Celtic at Hampden on 25 May after beating Inverness 3-0 in their last four encounter at the same venue a fortnight ago.

Fans with 20 loyalty points or more were able to purchase their Scottish Cup final tickets from this morning, and have snapped up well over half the 20,220 allocation in just a few hours.

Supporters experienced problems when trying to buy online initially, with only concession tickets available. The club have since confirmed that this issue has been corrected.

This initial batch of sales will run until 9am on Friday 3 May, from when supporters to attended the semi-final win over John Robertson’s team can purchase on a first come, first served basis.

Hearts have been allocated the West and part of the North and South Stands for the final.
