Hearts confirm Uche Ikpeazu departure as striker joins English Championship side

Hearts have confirmed the departure of Uche Ikpeazu.

The 25-year-old striker has signed for English Championship new boys Wycombe Wanderers after struggling to make an impact at Tynecastle last season.

Ikpeazu follows Conor Washington, Sean Clare, Callumn Morrison and Colin Doyle in departing Hearts this summer.

In a statement, the Jambos said: "Uche Ikpeazu has departed Hearts for Wycombe Wanderers.

"The striker has moved to the English Championship side on a permanent basis.

"Uche signed for the Jambos in the summer of 2018 and despite injuries setting the powerhouse forward back, he still managed to bag ten goals in 55 appearances, including two Edinburgh derby strikes.

"Everyone at Hearts wishes Uche the best of luck at Adams Park."
