Hearts have confirmed the sad news that club photographer Ron MacNeill has passed away.
Ron was a well-known face at Tynecastle and Riccarton, traveling home and away to snap first team games as well as weekly press conference at the club’s training base.
He would also be on hand to photograph Hearts’ academy sides and Women’s team.
Match day hospitality guests at home matches will also recognise Ron, who would capture them in the Gorgie Suite, as well as ensuring memories that would last a life time were snapped for match day mascots of all ages.
Ron was presented with the Doc Melvin award at the club’s 2018 Player of the Year Awards, recognising his dedication and commitment to the club.
