Hearts boss Craig Levein hit with 'misconduct' charge over incident at U18 game

Hearts boss Craig Levein has been charged by the SFA over an incident at an U18 game.

The incident happened while in his role as club's director of football and attending Hearts U18s vs Hibs U18s.

It's unclear what Levein is alleged to have done but he will face a hearing at Hampden on Wednesday, April 17.

The Tynecastle gaffer was at the Oriam to watch his young guns defeat their Edinburgh rivals 3-2.

Hearts squad revealed as injury problems mount up ahead of Aberdeen clash

Connor Smith, Cammy Logan and Leeroy Makovora got the goals for Hearts before Hibs got a late double to set up a nervy ending.

Levein has already been in front of the SFA this season after criticising match officials following his side's 2-1 defeat to Rangers.

At the time, he said: “I read a quote from Neil Lennon a few weeks ago from when they went to Celtic Park, and he said they were playing against 12 men, and that’s how I feel. Actually, it was 13 we were playing against.

“The good thing is Neil Lennon didn’t get any punishment, it’s good to know.

“The referee was abysmal and we were playing against 13 men.

“That’s my view on it. It’s really good news there won’t be any punishment.”
