Hearts and Partick Thistle's court case with SPFL is pushed back with new date set

Hearts and Partick Thistle's court date with the SPFL has been pushed back 24-hours.

The hearing was originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday morning but will now happen a day later on Wednesday (July 1), with things set to start at 11am and last around two hours, according to BBC Scotland.

The clubs are seeking to have their relegations overturned, and failing this say they should be awarded a combined £10million in compensation. Hearts want an £8million share while Thistle say they would be due £2million.

The proceedings will take place over video conference and will be presided over by Lord Clark.

Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Cove Rangers have also launched separate court action against Hearts and Thistle.

They’re aggrieved that the move to have relegations reversed would ultimately deny them promotion to the Premiership, Championship and League One respectively.
