Hearts and Inverness confirm Angus Beith benefit match to be held at Tynecastle

Hearts and Inverness Caledonian Thistle have confirmed a benefit match for former midfielder Angus Beith.

The sides play each other at Tynecastle on Monday 8 July (kick-off 7.30pm). Tickets will be priced at £6 for adults and £3 for concessions.

Beith came through the academy ranks at Hearts , featuring for the club’s development side and first team before moving to the Highland club last summer.

He was part of an agreement that saw Irish winger Jake Mulraney move to Edinburgh at the end of his contract in lie of any training compensation.

Beth never played a game for John Robertson’s team however, and was sadly forced to retire from the game due to a persistent hip injury.

It will be the first time the dies have face each other since their April William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final meeting at Hampden.

Craig Levein’s side won 3-0 thanks to goals from Uche Ikpeazu, John Souttar and Sean Clare to progress to the final.
