Hearts and Aberdeen fined for "mass confrontation" by the SFA

Hearts and Aberdeen fined following a “mass confrontation” during their recent Ladbrokes Premiership meeting.

Tempers flared in the second half of Hearts’ 2-1 win over the Dons at Tynecastle last month after Dom Ball fouled Sean Clare, prompting an angry reaction from both sets of players.

Aberdeen accepted the charge and the Jambos appealed against theres but were unsuccessful.

Each have ben fined £500 each of the offence, which is defined as three or more players of staff members being involved in a melee.

Meanwhile Craig Levein has also been censured by the Scottish FA for misconduct during an Under 18 Edinburgh derby against Hibs.

Levein, who was there in his capacity of the club’s Director of Football, was thought to have sworn at a match official while standing near the technical area after he disagreed with a decision.

The Hearts boss had not been listed as an official member of the Hearts coaching staff for the match on the team sheet subitted.
