Hearts kept their unbeaten pre-season record intact as they put four goals past Falkirk in their latest friendly.
Armand Ganduillet ’s double was sandwiched by an early own goal and Stephen Kingsley ’s late strike as Robbie Neilson ’s men hit the goal trail in the behind closed doors game in Largs.
Hearts took the lead when Euan Henderson weaved his way into the box before pulling the ball back, and it was diverted into the far corner by a Falkirk defender.
Defender Mihai Popescu had a header well saved after another Henderson run ended in a penalty claim being denied.
The advantage was doubled on the half hour mark when Leo Watson swung in a corner and Gnanduillet rose highest to direct a header in off the back post.
Former Jambo Callumn Morrison almost found the top corner shortly after the restart with a free-kick, but the returning Craig Gordon leapt to his right to make a fine save and deny the Bairns winger.
Jordan Roberts was introduced from the bench after recovering from an injury he made an instant impact, racing down the left and delivering a ball onto Gnaduillet’s head as the big striker nodded in his second and Hearts’ third.
Gnanduillt then turned provider as the Jambos added some gloss to the scoreline. His cross was only cleared as far as Kingsley, who drilled a low shot into the bottom corner to ensure a comfortable win for the Tynecastle side.
