Hearts 3 Dundee 2 as Cammy Devlin plays and Leigh Griffiths scores in bounce game

Cammy Devlin got his first taste of action as a Hearts player as they beat Dundee 3-2 in a bounce game at Oriam.

The Australian midfielder penned a three-year deal on deadline day and is in line to make his debut against Hibs at Tynecastle on 12 September.

And he warmed up for that with 70 minutes against the Dens Park side, with defender Taylor Moore also playing from the start.

The centre back is on a season-long loan from Bristol City and made his competitive debut as a second half substitute against Dundee United at Tannadice last Saturday.

There was also a debut of sorts for the visitors with on-loan Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths back in dark blue, and the former Hibs man opened the scoring for the visitors.

The Jambos made a slew of changes as the game went on and were level after the break thanks to an Andy Halliday header.

Dundee retook the lead however after young goalkeeper Liam McFarlane conceded a penalty, and another former Easter Road favourite Jason Cummings put James McPake’s side ahead.

Hearts responded again though and Liam Boyce restored parity after a smart turn and finish from the edge of the area.

Robbie Neilson’s side claimed a late winner when Euan Henderson was on hand to finish after some neat interplay opened up the Dundee defence.

Hearts first half: Stewart, Moore, Halkett, Kingsley, Denholm, Haring, Devlin, McEneff, Cochrane, Ginnelly, Gnanduillet.

Hearts second half: McFarlane, Rathie, Souttar, Watson, C Smith, McGill, Baningime, Boyce, Halliday, Henderson, Kirk.
