Hearts' Betfred Cup Group A fixture dates and venues confirmed

The dates, venues and kick-off times for Hearts’ Betfred Cup fixtures have been confirmed.

The Jambos were drawn in Group A last week alongside Dundee Utd, East Fife, Stenhousemuir and Cowdenbeath.

It was favourable in that there are no long trips north to the likes of Elgin and Cove as was the case in the previous seasons, and now we know which fixtures will be at Tynecastle and when.

They will kick-off against old boss Robbie Neilson and Dundee Utd on Friday 16 July at home, with that match to be shown live on BT Sport (kick-off 7.45pm).

They then make the sort trip to Craig Levein's formative club Cowdenbeath the following Tuesday for another 7.45pm kick-off.

That's followed by a home match against Stenhousemuir on Wednesday 24 July before rounding off the group games away to East Fife on Saturday 27 July (kick-off 3pm).
