Hearts 0 Kilmarnock 1: Three things we learned as Killie bag late winner in huge Tynecastle clash

Kilmarnock scored a vital late winner away to Hearts, and it could be huge.

Steve Clarke's men are looking to qualify for Europe - and they are well in the hunt.

Here's three things we learned from the match:

1. Stuart Findlay is growing in confidence every game

He has just scooped the Players' Player of the Year at Killie, but Stuart Findlay is the first to admit he didn't know where his career was going a year ago.

But now after sharing the coveted award with Gary Dicker, he is getting better and better every game.

He wasn't shy in making runs forward today, not too dissimilar to a certain Virgil Van Dijk who has just bagged the English Premier League Player of the Year...

Every corner he is in the box looking to attack the ball and score another power header.

Oh... and he scored!

2. Killie are as solid as you like at the back

Okay, we haven't necessarily just learned this today, but it deserves a mention.

That's just 30 goals conceded in 36 league games, not bad eh? Big shoutout to Findlay and Alex Bruce who handled anything that came their way.

Outside of the Old Firm teams, Killie have the best defence in the league going by goals conceded.

3. Killie might... just MIGHT qualify for Europe

Surely it's alright talking about it now? Killie are back up to third-place, ahead of Aberdeen on goal difference.

They are seven points ahead of Hibs who need to go to Ibrox tomorrow to keep any hopes of Europe alive.

Should Killie finish fourth they'll be relying on Celtic to win the Scottish Cup final.
