Tributes are being paid to a tragic Scots GP after a body was discovered by police.
Police confirmed the grim discovery in the search for missing Catriona Gaskell, who vanished on Saturday, August 14.
It's understood a body was found in the wooded area in Newton, Cambuslang, at around 10.45am this morning.
While formal identification has to take place, the family of the 29-year-old NHS Lanarkshire medic has been told of the development.

Tributes have now been paid to the 'lovely' young GP as friends have been left 'shocked' by the news.
Sharing a picture of Cat, one friend wrote: "My wifey for lifey. will love and miss you always Cat Gaskell."
Another said: "I am absolutely shocked and devastated to learn of the news. Cat Gaskell I will always remember you as one of the nicest people I have ever met at Secondary School.
"My thoughts are with you, your family and Robbie. Rest in Peace."
One commented: "Horrible news about Cat who I knew well from school. Thoughts with Robbie, family and all of her friends."
"Omg can’t believe you are gone Cat Gaskell, you were such a lovely girl who done so much good in the world definitely taken to soon. Heaven has gained another angel.
"Thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends", said another.
Cartha Queen's Park Rugby Football Club also issued a statement in the wake of the tragic news.
It read: "Cartha Queen's Park Rugby Football Club are shocked and saddened to hear the tragic news about our team mate, player and friend, Cat Gaskell.
"It was a pleasure and privilege coaching and playing with Cat and her loss will deeply effect our close rugby community at Cartha.
"Our thoughts are with her family, her friends and her team mates."
