Heartfelt tributes paid to 'beautiful' Scots mum-of-two found dead in Grangemouth house

Tributes have been paid to a “beautiful” young mum whose body was found in a house near Falkirk.

Emergency services raced to the scene on Fendoch Road in Grangemouth shortly before 10am on Wednesday, April 1.

The mum-of-two, who has been named locally as Leanne Hunter, was discovered when officers entered the property.

Her tragic death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Heartbroken friends and loved ones have paid tribute to Leanne, who was well known in the community for her efforts to restart a local gala day.

Claire Neillis wrote: “The news this morning is just absolutely heartbreaking. I just wished you knew how amazing you were Leanne.

"No words can explain how we are all feeling.

“My thoughts are with your kids, family, friends, and the committee of Stenhousemuir Galaday. Which you being the chair woman.

“You had the passion to bring back a Galaday that you and others had so many fond memories of, and of course being the last Queen.

"It just meant the world to you.

“I am heartbroken you didn’t get to see this. I am heartbroken you found this the only way out. R.I.P beautiful girl.”

Mum Michelle Ronald said: “My daughter Leanne Hunter passed away this morning may all those that doubted you hang their heads in shame because each and everyone one of yous did this. RIP my girl xx”

And sister Emma Henderson added: “Can’t put into words how truly gutted I am to receive yet another call to tell me of a loved ones passing, my beautiful big sister Leanne.

“Thinking of my wee niece and nephew at such a difficult time, my doors always open for yous. Rest in peace sis, love you always.”

A Police Scotland spokesman said: " Police Scotland can confirm that the body of a woman was discovered at a house in Fendoch Road in Grangemouth earlier today, Wednesday, April 1.

"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

"The Procurator Fiscal will be informed.”

A fundraising page been launched to help the heartbroken family and has already raised more than £2000.
