An East Lothian owner has put out a desperate appeal after her much-loved cat, who is also a viral sensation, has gone missing.
Sophie Johnson took to social media on Sunday night after her cat Lentil failed to return to her home in the Prestonpans area on Saturday.
She said: "Lentil is missing. I stay in Prestonpans near the high school that’s usually if he ventures it’s never far and always with us.
"Just keep your eye out for him if you live in the area, he’s loved so much. Drop me a direct message, even if you even see him in passing."
Sophie told Edinburgh Live that it is not like Lentil, who is a one-year-old Siamese/Ragdoll mix, to not return home.
She explains that he isn't like most cats and always goes on walks alongside her dog. "He's always near me", she adds.
Lentil even went viral on Twitter, racking up thousands of likes, after Sophie shared a clip of him following her on a walk with her dog.
However he has now been missing for three days and Sophie is urging people to check their gardens and garages for Lentil.
She said: "He loves people. I'm worried he has jumped in a car, he's very bold."
