A very thankful local has posted a heartfelt note on a beach after a group of north Dublin heroes saved his life over the weekend.
The man got into difficulty while swimming during a breezy and wet evening at Low Rock in Malahide on Friday.
He was just seconds away from disaster when a group of brave passersby intervened and brought him to safety.
The note was pinned to the shelter at Low Rock by Brian Fahy who name-checked three of the men of the hour.
But, he admitted that he's still on the lookout for the rest of the warriors who were also involved in the rescue operation.
The note says: "This is a heartfelt, grateful and sincere thank you to all of you who helped me on Friday, October 2 when I got into difficulty here.
"I would like to thank particularly Neill Murphy, Paul White and Pearse Gibney."
He added: "There are many others who I have not been able to trace yet but thank you to everyone."

A spokesman for the beach said that it was necessary to pay attention to the weather conditions before braving a swim there.
He said: "All newcomers to Low Rock should be aware that the area can be very dangerous under certain weather conditions.
"Please always pay attention to the elements whilst swimming."
