Heartfelt messages and tributes have been posted to a "poor soul" who died after falling from a block of flats.
Emergency services were called to the high rise building on Roughwood Drive, in Kirkby, to reports a man had been found injured.
Witnesses claimed that he had fallen from the balcony of a flat and died a short time later.
The fall, and the man's death, are not being treated as suspicious as police spent most of the day at the scene.
Since the tragic news spread through the community, hundreds of touching messages have been posted online from those left devastated by the incident.
On Facebook, Jeanette Doney said: "Poor soul, deepest sympathy to his family. RIP."
Leanne Smith also said: "So sad R. I. P.
"Thoughts are with this man's family."

A friend, Linda Warke added: "My heart is breaking.
"I know the man. I’m so in shock.
"He had a great heart and a great soul."
Hundreds of others also shared condolences to the man's family and loved ones.
Forensic officers and police were at the scene in Kirkby for most of the day on Monday.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: ""We can confirm that emergency services are in Kirkby following the non-suspicious death of a man this morning, Monday 22 June.
"At around 10.40am, ambulance and police were called to Roughwood Drive to reports of a man being found, having reportedly fallen from the balcony of a flat.
"He was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
"At this stage we are not treating the incident as suspicious."
