Heartbroken tributes pour in for East Lothian biker killed in horror crash at weekend

A motorcyclist killed in a horror crash on Sunday has been named as 33-year-old Hristo Hristov.

The keen biker from Tranent, East Lothian, had been on the A708 near Moffat when he collided with a car.

Emergency services raced to the scene shortly before 4pm but Mr Hristov was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tributes from devastated families and friends flooded in for the tragic 33-year-old, who has been described as a "good man".

His heartbroken wife Velina Hristova left a a tribute to her husband with "I'll always love you".

Elsewhere, another said: "Condolences. God rest his soul."

A second said: "Velinka, our deepest condolences! May he rest in peace! Be strong!".

"May he rest in peace! God give you strength", said another.

Police say enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information is urged to come forward.

Sergeant William Broatch, of Dumfries and Galloway Road Policing, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr. Hrsitov at this difficult time.

“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and I would ask that anyone with any information contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2252 of Sunday, 19 July, 2020."
