'Heartbroken this even has to be done': Pals of young woman who fell to her death from M62 bridge need your help to give her 'the send off she deserves'

Friends of a young woman who fell to her death from M62 bridge have launched a fundraising appeal to help give her the 'send off she deserves'.

Jessica Duckworth, 23, died after falling from Scammonden Bridge in the early hours of Sunday.

The NHS worker, who was living in West Yorkshire but was originally from Padiham, Burnley, died at the scene.

Police were called to the bridge at 1am following 'reports for safety'. The motorway was closed for several hours following the incident.

Hundreds have paid tribute to Jessica.

Now a friend has set up a fundraising page to contribute to Jessica's funeral.

Shaynie Green says she is hoping to raise £2,500. Just over £1,500 has been donated so far.
