The mum of a children's hospital nurse who suddenly died has remembered her "best friend".
Stacey Fusco, from Swadlincote, worked at the oncology department at Birmingham Children's Hospital for seven years.
Tributes poured in for the 30-year-old nurse, who studies studied children's nursing at the University of Wolverhampton and who died on April 20, Birmingham Mail reported.
The cause of death has not yet been determined, and a full inquest into her death is due to be held.
Her devastated mum, Sue Ele, said: "She was my best friend. I saw her every day and we used to do a lot of things together. We're a very close family all of us.
"When she went, she took a part of me and I will never be the same again. We were very close. She was someone very special.
"She's a big loss in my life and a big part of me that's been taken - it just seems so unfair. I will very forget her."
She added: "Stacey was very thoughtful and enjoyed a party. Stacey organised everything; if she went anywhere she had organised it.
"She was also dedicated to her job as an oncology nurse and did get emotional sometimes over it.
"She worked hard to get where she was and people respected her for it. A lot of people Stacey worked with said how dedicated she was.
"She was lovely and would do anything for anyone. Family and friends came first.
"But she also loved her dog Tina, who she treated like her child."
The inquest opening heard she died from sertraline toxicity on April 20.
Sertraline is an antidepressant.
